Senior Executive Officer, St George Hospital, Kogarah
The Senior Executive Officer works in partnership with the General Manager and Executive Leadership Team to deliver operational, business, strategic and planning activities at St George Hospital. The temporary full-time position provides opportunity to gain significant experience across a variety of day-day operational activities and projects.

The Role
The Senior Executive Officer is responsible for managing the Executive Support Unit (ESU) portfolio of ministerial briefs, reports and correspondence for St George Hospital and assisting the General Manager and the organisation in the operational, business, strategic and planning activities at St George Hospital. The position also ensures corporate governance processes, support and management of St George Hospital Clinical Council and provision of day to day management and functioning of St George Hospital Executive Unit. The Senior Executive Officer is responsible for management and oversight of the Community Relations Department and the Project Officer/s working within the Executive Unit.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health, Health Service Management or Health Service Administration relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience
- Demonstrated operational experience in health management including administration, human resource and financial management
- Demonstrated experience in health service planning and evaluation at strategic and service levels
- Demonstrated experience in project and change management
- Highly developed written and verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to provide advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management and other key stakeholders
- Demonstrated knowledge of current issues in consumer engagement and fundraising
