Where you'll be working
You will be primarily based at our St Leonards site however there will be the occasional time when you will be required to go to our Erina site on the Central Coast

What you'll be doing

BreastScreen NSW NSCC is seeking someone who has a commitment to Women’s Health, strong advocacy skills and the ability to lead and support a team.

The successful applicant will be a member of the Management Team and actively contribute to the delivery of a high-quality health program to over 56,000 women across both the Northern Sydney and Central Coast Local Health Districts.

 People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline or equivalent work experience, that includes a counselling component
  2. Sound understanding of clinical aspects of breast disease, breast cancer and the principles of population-based screening.
  3. Sound understanding of the psychological impact of a diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
  4. Demonstrated experience in working with clients in a health setting who are dealing with stressful and emotional issues.
  5. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and ability to work independently making safe, appropriate and informed decisions.
  6. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  7. Demonstrated understanding of information technology and accurate data entry skills.
