The Role
The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.
Australians experience among the highest cancer survival rates in the world, and improvements in diagnostic methods, early detection and treatment are contributing to more Australians surviving cancer than ever before. As cancer survival outcomes continue to improve, more people will require ongoing support and long-term care. Cancer survivors are at increased risk for serious long-term morbidity related to the adverse physical, psycho-social and economic burden of cancer and cancer treatment, for a significant period of time beyond diagnosis and treatment.
