What you'll be doing 
As a Senior Clinical Dietitian (Level 3), you will provide advanced nutrition assessment, intervention and management for patients with complex clinical needs while delivering leadership across clinical practice, quality improvement, research and service development. You will act as a specialist resource for nutrition care, support accreditation activities and mentor dietitians and students to achieve high standards of patient-centred care.

• Deliver expert nutrition assessment, counselling and therapeutic dietetic interventions across inpatient and outpatient settings

• Manage complex patients using advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice with a high level of autonomy

• Lead and contribute to quality improvement initiatives, research projects and accreditation activities

• Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and education to dietitians, students and other health professionals

• Support service planning, policy development, evaluation and implementation of innovative nutrition services

 Essential Criteria

• Qualification: Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia. 

Selection Criteria

1. Demonstrated extensive post graduate clinical dietetics experience, including specialist knowledge in a particular area of dietetics and/or a broad generalist knowledge of clinical nutrition

2. Demonstrated evidence of providing advice to managers on clinical service evaluation and application of evidence base practice in service development.

3. Demonstrated experience in the clinical supervision of staff and evidence of contribution to education activities related to an area of expertise

4. Well-developed communication, coaching and facilitation skills. Ability to work as an effective team member

5. Excellent time management and organisation skills. Ability to prioritise workload and work independently

6. Able to display good computer skills and experience with Cbord or equivalent and Cerner

7. Experience in designing, implementing, leading, developing and evaluating research/quality improvement projects.
