Opportunity exists for a temporary part time Senior Clinical Dietitian at Mona Vale Hospital, Brookvale Community Health and Adolescent and Young Adult Hospice. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Where you'll be working
This position is located across multiple sites at Mona Vale Hospital, Brookvale community health centre and Adolescent and Young Adult Hospice. Clinical area allocation is based on clinical need.
What you'll be doing
This position is required to be part of a Monday to Friday 5-day Clinical Dietitian service. Workdays are negotiable based on availability and service needs. The Senior Clinical Dietitian provides a high-quality Nutrition and Dietetics service to allocated clinical areas. The Senior Clinical Dietitian provides supervision to junior and support staff. As a key member of the healthcare team, the Senior Clinical Dietitian is an advocate for nutrition services. The Senior Clinical Dietitian is active in maintaining standards of quality nutritional care, education and consultancy for patients, staff and the wider community. The Senior Clinical Dietitian is involved in planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on services. The Senior Clinical Dietitian will identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice, as well as develop and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience with a minimum as a Level 2 Dietitian.
- Provide evidence of proficient written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to liaise with novice and experienced health professionals and external service providers. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement activities or service evaluation process. Experience in clinical teaching and supervision of students, level 1/2 Allied Health Professionals and/or Allied Health Assistants.
