The Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) RPA Coding unit is seeking a highly motivated and experienced full time Clinical Coder with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly, progressive and supportive team!
If you are enthusiastic about working in a well-supported coding unit whilst learning specialist coding skills, come and join our cohesive coding team! Coders at RPA are professionally supported with robust in-house and external training, education and a dynamic skills progression pathway.
For coders who have demonstrated the required competencies, flexible work practices including working from home in some capacity will be considered. To be successful in this position, a minimum of two to three years of coding experience at the tertiary facility level, along with strong time management and problem-solving skills will be required.
Award assignment and recruitment to the coder position will be competency-based for the successful applicant and will align with the SLHD Coder Competency pathway. The SLHD coder competency pathway awards range from the levels of Junior Coder, Senior Coder, Certified Coder and Coding Analyst roles.

Ideal Candidate
- Completion of a recognised ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS coding course from HIMAA, TAFE or equivalent.
- Recent experience and competence using ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS current Edition for at least three years.
