  1. Relevant tertiary qualification in an Allied Health discipline, or a fully registered psychologist, with demonstrated expertise of health policy, priorities and treatment in relation to the drug and alcohol field.
  2. Demonstrated high level management experience in a health care environment.
  3. Extensive experience in providing psychosocial services relevant to drug and alcohol patients with complex clinical presentations.
  4. Demonstrated ability to provide high level clinical support, training and supervision to professional, technical and support staff.
  5. Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
  6. Demonstrated experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and applying independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a complex nature.
  7. Demonstrated experience of initiating, leading, completing and disseminating quality improvement, service evaluation processes and research activities.
  8. Demonstrated experience in writing reports, briefings and other correspondence.
