What You'll Be Doing:

The Security Manager oversees day to day management of all security functions for St George Hospital campus, including Mental Health Services, and is the security liaison for SESLHD Population and Community Health (PaCH) Services. This position is responsible for the supervision of security operations and systems, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of security services for the protection and security of people and property on the St George Hospital campus, SESLHD community services and the management of the Security Department and security Staff within the Department.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Extensive experience in a management capacity within security services with experience in, or ability to display an understanding of, security within a health environment and an ability to effectively manage competing workload priorities.
  2. Demonstrated ability to influence, motivate, co-ordinate and develop security teams positively to achieve commitment and co-operation with relevant stakeholders.
  3. Current NSW Security Licence Class 1A, Senior First Aid.
  4. Demonstrated ability to provide sound advice, technical working knowledge and to make recommendations to senior management regarding security services.
  5. High level communication and interpersonal skills, organisational and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to consult and negotiate with key stakeholders at all levels
  6. Understanding of security needs in a community health setting
  7. Ability to interpret, apply, monitor and evaluate policies, procedures and standards
  8. Demonstrated ability to participate in strategic planning of services and facilities with respect to security audits, risk management and assessments.
