 About The Role 

Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) is seeking a motivated and collaborative District SDPR Patient Services Implementation Officer to support the successful implementation and optimisation of the Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) program across the district.

This exciting role is instrumental in ensuring high-quality administrative workflows, supporting post go-live data remediation and optimisation activities, and driving the adoption of digital health practices across HNELHD facilities. Working closely with facility leaders, administrative teams, Health Information Managers, Digital Health Program teams, ICT, and executive stakeholders, you will help deliver a reliable, intuitive, and optimised digital health experience for staff and patients.

  • As the District SDPR Patient Services Implementation Officer, you will:
  • Coordinate post go-live SDPR data remediation and optimisation activities across HNELHD facilities.
  • Support managers and administrative teams to improve data quality through workflow optimisation and data cleansing initiatives.
  • Partner with facility leaders, Health Information Managers, and Digital Health teams to support successful SDPR implementation and adoption.
  • Lead change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, education, coaching, and ongoing support for administrative staff.
  • Promote consistent, standardised administrative workflows aligned with statewide policies and local procedures
  • Monitor implementation progress, identify improvement opportunities, and support the effective use of quality data to inform service improvement.


About You

You are an experienced health administration or health information professional with a passion for digital transformation and service improvement. You thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy supporting others through change, and have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

You will demonstrate:

  • Experience in patient administration, health information management, digital health, or healthcare project implementation.
  • Strong understanding of administrative workflows and the importance of quality data collection.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating change management, training, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with clinicians, managers, administrative staff, and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyse workflow issues and contribute to practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Experience working with patient administration systems and hospital information systems is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data quality, activity management, or digital health initiatives will be highly regarded.
