1. Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Paediatrician.
2. Demonstrated recent clinical experience in paediatrics at the role delineation of the service. Recent paediatric acute medicine or virtual care experience will be preferred.
3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of the team.
4. Demonstrated effective clinical communications through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
5. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
6. Optional: availability to participate in the on-call roster and undertake weekend work for either the Paediatrics Department, Dubbo Base Hospital or virtualKIDS service SCHN relevant to the role of this position.
7. Proven recent clinical expertise in the management of children with complex general medical conditions with recent experience in consultation through virtual platforms preferable.
8. Proven ability to embrace and manage new models of care and ability to manage and work within an interdisciplinary team.
