Remuneration: $80,452.00 - $138,482.00 per annum, pro rata (+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable)

About the role:
The Safeguards Child and Adolescent Mental Health Clinician provides specialised, trauma informed assessment and treatment to children and young people (0–17 years) experiencing acute mental health distress, while supporting their families. The role operates within the Safeguards team to deliver rapid, flexible, community based care across settings including homes, schools, hospitals and via telehealth, ensuring timely crisis response and ongoing care coordination.
Your responsibilities will include;
- Delivering evidence based, trauma informed assessments and interventions to children and adolescents experiencing acute mental health distress
- Providing crisis response, risk assessment and safety planning, including rapid and flexible care across community and hospital settings
- Coordinating care plans and referrals, working collaboratively with families, schools and multidisciplinary teams
- Offering time limited therapeutic support and ongoing follow up, including telehealth and outreach services
- Ensuring effective communication and continuity of care through liaison with internal and external service providers
Criteria
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Hold Australian Working Rights
- Relevant qualifications as a Clinical Psychologist, Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Clinical Nurse Specialist with relevant Post Graduate qualifications.
- Extensive post graduate clinical experience providing evidence-based assessment and treatment for children and/or adolescents and their families
- NSW Working with children check.
