What you'll be doing
The role encompasses administration of finances, fundraising, grants, ethics submissions, publications, reporting activities, and staffing.
Additionally, the Research Operations Manager maintains effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including Workforce Services, Finance, Kids Research, Public Relations, patients and their families. They also collaborate with universities, external research partners, and funding bodies to ensure efficient research delivery and compliance with grant funding requirements.
- A degree in science, health or business management or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience.
- Highly developed interpersonal and written communication skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with a range of professionals at multiple organisational levels.
- Ability to operate in a frequently changing environment with many responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience in contributing to operational and administrative activities within a research group or institution.
- Demonstrated high level organisation and time management skills with excellent attention to detail, as well as a demonstrated ability to be self-directed and innovative.
- Demonstrated high level skills & experience in project management and/or planning and development.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
