Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is an exceptional environment to advance your career while enhancing your skills and expertise. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we deliver a comprehensive range of public health services across the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Regions.

Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

A new opportunity has become available to join our dynamic Infectious Diseases Research team at Nepean Hospital. We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Research Assistant to support a range of clinical trials currently underway within the service. This role plays a vital part in facilitating high‑quality research activity. Our clinical trials contribute to advancing knowledge and improving patient care across infectious diseases.

As a Research Assistant, you will support data collection, data entry and day‑to‑day coordination tasks for research studies and clinical trials within the department. You will work closely with clinicians, research staff and external partners to ensure studies are conducted efficiently, accurately and in line with ethical and regulatory requirements.

If you are passionate about research, enjoy working in a collaborative clinical environment and are keen to contribute to meaningful advancements in patient care, we would love to hear from you.
