What you'll be doing
As the Research and Education Senior Data Manager, you will provide expert leadership in the design, development and management of research and education data systems, ensuring data quality, integrity, security and accessibility. You will drive data-driven decision-making, enhance reporting capabilities and support the growth of research capacity across Western Sydney Local Health District.
 

  • Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of databases and data management processes for research, education and operational activities

  • Develop data collection, analysis and reporting frameworks that support research outputs, performance reporting and scientific publications

  • Manage project risks, privacy requirements and governance obligations to ensure compliance with ethical and legislative standards

  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to deliver successful outcomes across multiple projects and initiatives

  • Lead, mentor and support a growing team of data management professionals while delivering training in systems such as REDCap

 

 

How to Apply

  1. Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and /or equivalent experience.

  2. Extensive demonstrated experience in creating databases within and using the REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) and other related software.

  3. Demonstrated experience in database design, development and management, including the ability to adapt software systems.

  4. Proven ability to implement processes to ensure the coordination of data management, data integrity and quality.

  5. Demonstrated experience in or understanding of a clinical research environment with a good knowledge of the ethical principles of research and data management.

  6. Effective communication, negotiation, and issue management to engage stakeholders and ensure project deliverables are meet in a large complex environment.

  7. Previous management experience.

  8. Proven experience in project management.
