About the role:

Murrumbidgee Local Health District is seeking an enthusiastic Rehabilitation Allied Health Assistant as part of our Wagga Wagga Ambulatory Rehabilitation Service.

This position will primarily work within the Acute Rehabilitation Team on the wards of the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital. You will get the chance to work alongside our highly skilled and diverse Allied Health Professionals including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologist and Social Worker.

As part of this position, you will get the chance to assist in covering our Outreach Rehabilitation Service leave relief, as well as outpatient groups as required.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  1. A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or formal commitment to complete this training within 3 years of employment

  2. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.

  3. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

  4. Able to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and complete delegated tasks while working within scope of practice and seeking guidance when required.
