What You’ll Be Doing
As a Registered Nurse at Wee Waa Community Hospital, you’ll work in an Emergency Department (ED)-style environment providing front-line care to a wide range of presentations, from walk-ins to emergency triage. This role requires strong clinical judgement, independence, and the ability to respond confidently without an on-site doctor.
You’ll be supported through ongoing education and professional development, including access to a Clinical Nurse Educator and broader HNE education and upskilling opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide emergency, triage, and outpatient care in an ED-style setting
Make sound clinical decisions and work autonomously
Liaise with the virtual ED medical team for patient management
Support junior staff and contribute to clinical learning
Deliver culturally safe care and engage with the local community
What You'll Bring
Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
Comfortable working independently and making clinical decisions
ED, urgent care, or triage experience highly desirable (or willingness to upskill)
Flexible, community-minded, and adaptable
