We are currently looking for a qualified Registered Nurse to join our Primary Care services at the Cessnock Correctional Centre.

To be eligible to apply, you must have:

  • Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • At least one full year of experience working as a Registered Nurse.

The Role

We’re currently looking for a qualified Registered Nurse currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and at least one full year of nursing experience.

The Registered Nurse performs reception screening and comprehensive health assessments on persons received into custody whilst assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing management.


Our Location

Cessnock Correctional Centre is a minimum and medium-security facility for male offenders located on the Cessnock Correctional Complex. The Complex is located in the Hunter Valley, 151 km north-west of Sydney and includes Hunter and Shortland correctional centres.
