Where you'll be working
You'll join a multicultural team of 20–24 passionate Registered Nurses (RNs) and Enrolled Nurses (Ens) delivering safe, compassionate renal care across three key locations: the Nita Reed Renal Unit (10-bed community/outpatient space for stable dialysis patients) and Foster Satellite Unit (6-bed private hospital unit for highly stable patients), plus the Level 3 Dialysis Ward. Known for genuine patient advocacy, warm workplace culture and celebrating milestones with afternoon teas, this inclusive team creates a supportive environment for both patients and staff.
About the role
As a Registered Nurse – Renal, you'll work morning or afternoon shifts Monday–Saturday (no nights or on-call), managing a 1:3 or 1:4 patient load through preparing/setting up dialysis machines, monitoring vital signs (BP, weight), cannulation, safety huddles and 4.5–5.5-hour treatments within a primary nursing model. You'll build meaningful relationships with stable dialysis patients while collaborating within this close-knit team. Reporting to nursing leadership, this predictable roster offers work-life balance alongside specialised renal nursing experience.
About you
You're a compassionate, reliable Registered Nurse who thrives in team environments and enjoys building long-term patient relationships. You bring strong clinical skills, attention to detail and a patient advocacy focus suitable for stable dialysis care.
You bring:

- Ability to manage dialysis patients (1:3–1:4 ratio) through full treatment cycles
- Skills in vital signs monitoring, cannulation and machine setup
- Team-oriented approach with excellent patient communication
- Comfortable working morning/afternoon shifts Mon–Sat (no nights/on-call)
These qualities will help you excel in this supportive renal service, with comprehensive onboarding including buddying with a Senior RN, plus ongoing guidance from the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), Clinical NUM, Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE), Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) and Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), and access to professional development opportunities for career growth.
