What you’ll be doing
As a Registered Nurse in our NICU casual pool, you will deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care to infants and their families. You will play a key role in ensuring optimal outcomes for patients while working within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Provide individualised, evidence-based nursing care for neonates in intensive care
- Support families through advocacy, education, and compassionate care
- Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff and students in the clinical setting
- Contribute to quality improvement and safe work practices within the NICU
Essential Requirements
- Registration: Currently authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
- Recent relevant experience in clinical setting as deemed appropriate by WSLHD.
- Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail.
- Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems.
