About the Opportunity

As a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife with our Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Service (SUPPS), you’ll play a vital role in providing trauma-informed, harm-minimisation care to women and families from pregnancy through the early postnatal period.

In this rewarding role, you’ll:

  • Provide perinatal drug and alcohol assessment, coordinated care planning, and therapeutic education for women and families up to three months post-birth.
  • Work across both community and hospital settings, building strong relationships with maternity, child and family, and Drug and Alcohol Counselling Service (DACS) teams.
  • Focus on healthy family functioning, enhancing parenting skills, and managing complex challenges as they arise.
  • Deliver holistic, evidence-based care that supports positive outcomes for parents, babies, and their support networks.

Every day will bring new opportunities to make a genuine difference - providing compassionate, non-judgemental care that helps families thrive. From your first day, you’ll be well supported and will have access to guidance from your Line Manager, District Manager and Allied Health Lead, clinical support from a Clinical Midwife Consultant (CMC) and DACS Specialists, a structured orientation, ongoing education and strong interdisciplinary partnerships.
