What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse working in Northern NSW Liver Clinic Lismore’s multidisciplinary team, you will work across clinic sites and on outreach. You will deliver dynamic, high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals at risk of, and living with, viral hepatitis and its complications.

Key responsibilities include:
•    Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for patients with viral and complications.
•    Providing education, counselling and ongoing support to communities, patients, families and carers
•    Coordinating clinics and facilitating timely access to specialist services, investigations, and treatments.
•    Collaborating closely with multi-disciplinary team and community providers to ensure seamless, integrated care.
•    Monitoring patient progress, identifying clinical concerns and implementing evidence-based interventions.
•    Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to quality improvement, patient safety and service development initiatives.
•    Supporting health promotion and harm reduction activities, with a focus on improving access and outcomes for marginalised populations.

About You
You are a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a strong commitment to improving health outcomes for individuals living with viral hepatitis and related liver conditions. Drawing on your clinical expertise within community healthcare settings, you provide holistic, patient-centred care that supports treatment engagement, education and long-term wellbeing.

You possess well-developed clinical assessment and problem-solving skills, enabling you to manage complex patient presentations and coordinate effective care plans tailored to individual needs. Your excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, combined with proficiency in health information systems and technology, allow you to build strong relationships with patients, families and healthcare providers while ensuring accurate documentation and continuity of care.

You work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to plan, coordinate and deliver outcome-focused care, with a strong understanding of supporting clients with complex health and social needs in community settings. Experienced in working with diverse and minority populations, you demonstrate cultural sensitivity and an inclusive approach that fosters trust and engagement. Your knowledge of viral hepatitis management and advanced liver disease enables you to provide evidence-based care while advocating for improved access to treatment and support services for vulnerable communities.
