What you'll be doing 
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will deliver safe, efficient and evidence-based nursing care while responding to a wide range of acute and complex presentations. You will play a vital role in supporting patients and families during critical moments while contributing to a culture of teamwork, learning and excellence in emergency care. Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Assess, prioritise and manage emergency patient presentations

• Deliver high-quality nursing care within a multidisciplinary team

• Apply critical thinking and clinical decision-making in high-pressure situations

• Build positive relationships with patients, carers and colleagues

• Participate in ongoing education, training and professional development

Essential Criteria:

• Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstrated ability to create positive relationships with patients, carers and loved ones to achieve patient empowerment, information sharing and confidence in nursing staff.

2. Demonstrated extensive and recent emergency nursing skills and experience

3. Proven ability to work independently with initiative, as well as collaboratively and respectively within a multidisciplinary team.

4. Proven commitment to continuing professional development.

5. Demonstrate critical thinking abilities, prioritisation and communication skills, whilst effectively following directions.
