As a nurse in the Day of Surgery (DOSA) ward at Northern Beaches Hospital you are responsible for preparing patients for their upcoming procedures, including completing pre-operative assessments, confirming consent, and ensuring all documentation and checklists are accurate. You will provide patient education, coordinate with theatre and anaesthetic teams, and ensure patients are ready for transfer to the operating suite on time. The role also involves clinical monitoring, addressing patient concerns, and supporting efficient theatre flow in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
- Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
