Registered Nurse - Child and Family Health (Aboriginal Identified)

What you will bring to the role

1. Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent (applicant’s race is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised by Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977, NSW) and a demonstrated ability to effectively and sensitively liaise with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and the local Aboriginal communities.
2. Current registration as Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA
3. Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in provision of care to children aged 0-5 years and their families/carers as a registered nurse (including completion of a new graduate RN program or 12 months full time equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse)
4. Demonstrated evidence of working within a multidisciplinary team to facilitate the care planning for families with complex needs.
5. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work and an ability to effectively work both within a team and autonomously.Demonstrated effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development, evidence based practice and an awareness of changes within the health care environment
7. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to utilise information technology systems within a variety of applications (e.g. Cerner) and commitment to undertake training in electronic health record systems as required
8. Current NSW State driver's licence (including P1 or above) and willingness to use for work purposes. This may include driving long distances across the LHD
