Remuneration: $41.22 - $57.88 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38, 26 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

This is an exciting temporary opportunity for experienced ICU Registered Nurses looking to broaden their exposure in a fast-paced, highly specialised critical care environment. You will work alongside expert clinicians, supportive leaders and multidisciplinary teams committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care to some of the most complex cardiothoracic patients in the state.

What you'll be doing 
As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiothoracic ICU, you will provide evidence-based, person-centred care to critically ill patients while working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

In this rewarding role, you will:

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate complex nursing care

  • Deliver high-quality care to critically ill cardiothoracic patients

  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, patients and carers

  • Support and guide junior nursing staff and students in the clinical setting

  • Promote evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement

About You

You are a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse with recent intensive care experience and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA

  • Recent relevant experience in an Intensive Care Unit setting

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Excellent time management and clinical prioritisation capability

Essential Requirements:

  • Registration: Currently authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) 

 

Selection Criteria:

  1. Recent relevant experience in clinical setting as deemed appropriate by WSLHD

  2. Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients

  3. Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail

  4. Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems
