Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.
An exciting opportunity is available for Registered Nurses to join the Barry Collins Surgical Ward at Hawkesbury District Hospital. Barry Collins Ward is a dynamic and fast paced surgical unit caring for patients across a range of specialties, providing both pre and post operative care. In this role, you will be part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team delivering high quality, patient centred care and supporting patients through all stages of their surgical journey.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care, monitoring patient progress, and working collaboratively to achieve optimal outcomes. You will contribute to a positive team culture while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

What you will bring to the role
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated experience and clinical skill as a Registered Nurse including completion of a new graduate Registered Nurse program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
- Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit or team requirements.
