About the Role
Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH), established in 1882, is one of Australia’s most respected hospitals with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national, and international communities. As a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare, RPAH offers world-class facilities and services. In this role, the Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to elderly people in a hospital setting, working collaboratively with allied health professionals, the medical team and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic, person-centred care to the aged care population. The role will involve medication management, complex wound care, supervising Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing, as well as conducting comprehensive assessments and developing and implementing individualised nursing care plans.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient centred; evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Ideal Candidate
- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.
- Effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in Hospital & experience working with aged care patients.
