Where you’ll be working
You will be part of a close-knit and supportive Critical Care team that works collaboratively to provide high-quality patient care. Our 10-bed unit includes 6 Coronary Care (CCU) beds and 4 Intensive Care (ICU) beds, providing a diverse and rewarding clinical environment.
You’ll work closely with experienced ICU doctors and a multidisciplinary team, delivering attentive, face-to-face care to patients who require close monitoring and support. The unit is also supported by a dedicated full-time educator, ensuring you have access to guidance, ongoing learning opportunities, and professional development. The team takes pride not only in clinical excellence but also in the small moments that make a difference whether that’s checking in on a patient, offering comfort, or simply asking if they’d like a cup of tea. These thoughtful gestures help elevate each patient’s hospital experience and reflect the compassionate culture of the unit.
About the role
As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will provide direct care to patients requiring a high level of monitoring and clinical support. Working across both CCU and ICU areas, you will be involved in cardiac monitoring, patient assessment, and delivering safe, high-quality nursing care. This role offers variety and the opportunity to strengthen your critical care skills while working alongside an experienced and supportive team. Strong attention to detail and effective time management will help you thrive in this fast-paced yet rewarding environment.
About you
You are a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team. You bring strong clinical awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise care in a critical care setting.
You will also bring:
- Experience as a Registered Nurse, ideally within a critical care or acute care setting
- Strong time-management and organisational skills
- A caring approach that values both clinical excellence and the small acts that enhance patient comfort
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow in a critical care environment
ICU training or critical care experience is highly desirable.
Essential requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
