Our 28-bed Surgical Unit (Ward 3A) offers a fast-paced, highly acute environment with a broad mix of surgical specialties including General Surgery, Colorectal, Gynaecology, and Urology. As part of a brand-new, purpose-built facility, you’ll benefit from access to modern resources and infrastructure, surrounded by a supportive team of experienced health professionals.
About the Role:
No two days are the same in this diverse and stimulating surgical ward. You will be part of a dedicated team providing high-quality, patient-centred care to a wide range of surgical patients. As an RN in Ward 3A, you’ll work alongside passionate professionals who are committed to clinical excellence and ongoing education.
You will be supported by Nurse Unit Managers, senior RNs, Clinical Nurse Educators, the Allied Health team, and medical staff as you transition into your role. Tailored supernumerary shifts and corporate orientation will help you settle into your position confidently. Our Clinical Nurse Educators also offer continued professional development in surgical nursing to ensure your clinical skills remain current and comprehensive.
About the Successful Candidate:
You are a compassionate, adaptable Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting. Your enthusiasm for surgical nursing and your proactive, team-focused mindset make you a valuable asset to any shift.
You will have:
A keen interest in surgical nursing, including care for General, Colorectal, Gynaecological, and Urology patients
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to delivering person-centred care
A collaborative attitude and willingness to learn and grow within a multidisciplinary team
Essential Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA
