Where you’ll be working
Inverell Hospital is a busy Rural District Hospital that includes the Emergency Department, Renal Dialysis Unit, Inpatient Unit, Maternity, and Surgical Services. The 32-bed Inpatient Unit provides both adult and paediatric care, supported by a dynamic multidisciplinary team of students, Assistants in Nursing, Enrolled Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Midwives.

About the role
As a Registered Nurse in the Inpatient Unit, you will deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred nursing care across a variety of wards. Working within a strong team model, you’ll assess, plan, and evaluate care tailored to each patient’s needs while collaborating with doctors, allied health, and support staff.

You’ll be supported by the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Educators, and the wider Nursing Management Team, with a thorough orientation to set you up for success. This is a rewarding role in a friendly, close-knit team that values professional growth and even enjoys regular social catchups.



About you
You are a proactive and adaptable Registered Nurse with:

  • Strong clinical knowledge and sound decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Capacity to plan, prioritise, and organise workloads effectively.
  • A commitment to patient-centred care and continuous improvement.



Requirements

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Ability to deliver safe, evidence-based care within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Computer literacy and sound organisational skills.
  • Commitment to the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
