Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. We're seeking Registered Midwives to join our dynamic and supportive Postnatal Team and help create positive and memorable experiences for women, babies and families across our community. You will be part of one of NSW's leading Maternity services, working alongside passionate and highly skilled healthcare professionals dedicated to delivering outstanding patient-centred care. 

This is a role where you will provide compassionate, evidence-based postnatal care to mothers and newborns, support women with breastfeeding and infant feeding education, promote maternal and newborn wellbeing through assessment, education, and advocacy whilst working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Current registration with AHPRA Registered Midwife (division 1)
  2. Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in Midwifery, including completion of a new graduate year or equivalent experience in Midwifery
  3. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
  4. Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide woman centred care
  5. Demonstrated effective communication skills – written and verbal
  6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development
  7. Ability to work a flexible roster, day, evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit/service requirements
  8. Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment
