What you'll be doing
Practicing and promoting safe, efficient and effective midwifery care that reflects current standards of midwifery practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.

About You
You present yourself as a capable and confident midwifery professional, someone who brings both technical expertise and a calm, grounded presence to an acute hospital environment. You hold current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and you carry that credential with the assurance of someone who understands the responsibility and privilege of caring for women, babies and families during some of their most significant moments.

You demonstrate strong, contemporary midwifery knowledge and the practical competency required to deliver safe, evidence‑based care in a fast‑paced clinical setting. You approach clinical challenges with a problem‑solving mindset, drawing on your experience, critical thinking and sound judgement to support positive outcomes. Your communication is clear, professional and adaptable, whether you are documenting care, using clinical systems, or engaging with patients, families and colleagues. You know how to convey information with empathy, accuracy and confidence.

You work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating care and contributing to collaborative decision‑making that keeps the woman and her baby at the centre. You understand the importance of planning, prioritising and anticipating needs, and you bring an organised, outcome‑focused approach to your practice.

Your commitment to service is evident in your willingness to participate fully in a seven‑day rotating roster, including nights and public holidays. You show up with consistency, reliability and professionalism, recognising that high‑quality midwifery care depends on a team that can be counted on at all hours.

If you’d like, I can refine the tone—more formal, more warm, more assertive—or tailor it to a résumé, cover letter or selection criteria.
