Are you a Registered Midwife looking to work in a dynamic and rewarding Birth Unit? Nepean Hospital is seeking skilled and compassionate Midwives to join our Maternity team, providing exceptional care to women and their families during one of life's most significant moments.

As a Registered Midwife in our Birth Unit, you will work within a busy tertiary maternity service, delivering evidence-based, woman-centred care throughout labour, birth and the immediate postnatal period. You will be supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for mothers and babies.

Your role will see you provide holistic care and support to women throughout their birthing journey, utilising your clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, ensuring safe and positive birth experiences for women and their families.  

You will be enthusiastic and an adaptable Registered Midwife with a commitment to delivering safe, compassionate and contemporary Maternity care, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Current registration as a Registered Midwife Division 1 with AHPRA.
  2. Demonstrated experience and clinical skills in Midwifery.
  3. Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing/midwifery care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
  4. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
  5. Demonstrated effective communication written and verbal skills.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
  7. Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  8. Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit or team requirements.
