On offer is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Midwife to join the team in the Antenatal Ward. This position that is on offer is located at Nepean Hospital and is available in a Temporary Full time or Part time role.

As a Registered Midwife you will assess, plan, prioritise, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team to meet defined patient/client care objectives within agreed timeframes. At all times you will maintain confidentiality on all issues relating to patients/clients, colleagues and NBMLHD and respond effectively to emergency situations, the changing status of patients/clients, clinical concerns, adverse events, critical incidents and complaints.

What you will bring to the role:

  1. Current registration as a Registered Midwife Division 1 with AHPRA.
  2. Demonstrated experience and clinical skill in Midwifery.
  3. Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing/midwifery care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
  4. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
  5. Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
  7. Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  8. Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit or team requirements.
