About Us
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we provide a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region.

Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

Step into a rewarding career where compassion meets excellence—Nepean Hospital’s Postnatal Ward is seeking passionate and dedicated Registered Midwives to join our dynamic team in either permanent full-time or part-time roles. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of women and their families, delivering exceptional care during one of life’s most transformative moments.

We’re looking for midwives who advocate fiercely for every woman—especially those from Indigenous and multicultural backgrounds—providing culturally sensitive, specialised care that reflects our commitment to equity and respect. Your professionalism will shine through ethical practice, adherence to policy, and a deep understanding of the legislative framework that guides our work.

Beyond clinical excellence, you’ll help shape the future of midwifery by mentoring staff and students, fostering growth and confidence in the next generation of caregivers. If you're ready to elevate your career in a supportive, forward-thinking environment, Nepean Hospital is ready to welcome you.
