About The Opportunity
The Commissioning Manager – Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) plays a pivotal role in a significant health infrastructure project for SWSLHD, making it a truly unique and career-defining opportunity. This role is central to the successful operational commissioning of the new health facilities, ensuring they are safe, functional, and ready for clinical service delivery from day one. It involves detailed planning, coordination, and execution of commissioning activities, working closely with a diverse range of stakeholders including clinical and non-clinical teams, capital works, ICT, health infrastructure, and academic partners. The Commissioning Manager must navigate complex project timelines while aligning operational readiness with service transformation goals. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional project management skills, a deep understanding of healthcare environments, strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, and a solution-focused mindset.

What You'll Be Doing
Reporting initially to the Liverpool Director Redevelopment and working as part of the team, the incumbent will assess  and manage project planning, designing, transitioning and commissioning, primarily focusing on the requirements for  the Liverpool Hospital Redevelopment (‘LHAP’) project initially, and then, at LHAP completion in 2029, transitioning off  LHAP to assist and manage other Projects (whether redevelopments, capital works, asset-related &/or engineering  projects) across the entire District, under the direction of the Director Capital Works & Infrastructure (South Western Sydney Local Health District - SWSLHD).

The Redevelopment Operations Commissioning Manager will use broad multidisciplinary clinical experience and expertise to engage with clinical leaders and Project teams to ensure that the planning, designing, change and transitioning initiatives are contemporary, support leading care, comply with NSW health policies and guidelines and deliver on SWSLHD and local strategic and project priorities.

The incumbent will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure capital works and change is undertaken with minimal disruption to hospital business whilst delivering project outcomes within scope, time frames and budgets and will use initiative, flexibility and self-direction to manage the day-to-day requirements with a high degree of competency, skills and enthusiasm.
