About the Opportunity
This is a unique experience to work as a Radiographer Level 2 within the Cardiac Interventional Unit. In this role, you will be at the forefront of leading cardiac procedures, equipment, and techniques.
You will contribute to the system management of department equipment and procedure efficiencies, while applying strong time management, organisation, productivity, problem solving, and partner relationship management with clients.
The role also involves oversight of leads, radiation safety, equipment and contract maintenance, as well as medical team collaboration, department compliance, and patient care.
What You'll be Doing
The Radiographer leads imaging within a speciality clinical unit for Angiography/ Interventional Cardiology in the Cardiac Catheter Lab. Working under the direction of the Section Senior Radiographer, Director of the Cath Lab, Head of Cardiology and Nurse Unit Manager, and professionally reporting to the Chief Radiographer.
The role is accountable for high standards of imaging to support the provision of efficient and effective services and to maintain and ensure compliance of radiological equipment. It is responsible for accurate and timely diagnostic information to medical staff on a routine and emergency basis to support the patient's medical management.
The Radiographer will ensure coordination of imaging workflow within the clinical specialty and strong and effective communication between staff, patients and referrers. The position is responsible for the orientation, supervision and training of medical radiation scientists, technical assistant staff, students and other health professionals within the clinical specialist area.

The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care.
Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney.
Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the UNSW Sydney and the Western Sydney University and also welcome students from over 20 universities and colleges.
Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries.

- Current AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) as a Medical Radiation Practitioner Diagnostic Radiography. Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science or equivalent. Hold a valid NSW EPA Radiation User Licence.
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and participation in continuous quality improvement.
- Demonstrated service delivery experience and effective prioritisation and organisation of workload in a complex clinical setting.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal communication and leadership skills applied to a patient environment as well as vendor relationships.
