What you'll be doing
This role involves delivering high-quality radiography services for the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute, focusing on breast imaging with clinical excellence. Your responsibilities will also include:
- Performing diagnostic and screening breast imaging to meet set targets.
- Ensuring adherence to WSLHD policies and BreastScreen Accreditation Standards.
- Demonstrating advanced clinical expertise in breast imaging.
- Contributing to achieving imaging goals for diagnostics and screenings.
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality care within a collaborative team environment.

Essential Criteria:
- License: NSW EPA Radiation Licence IA14
- Qualification: Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
- Registration: Registered with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA).
Selection Criteria:
- High level customer service skills and Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients
- Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail and Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative
- Highly developed communication with working in a multidisciplinary team and other health professionals
- Demonstrated skill in the analysis of complex issues and problem solving, Understanding of the management of patient complaints and patient privacy
- Experience in mammography with knowledge of quality assurance would be desirable. Maintaining high quality imaging, performing over 50% of Perfect and Good imaging, keep below the Repeat Rate (2%) and Technical Recall Rate of all imaging.
- Ability to assist in training others (give orientation and be able to supervise when required)
- Working towards completing Certificate of Clinical Proficiency in Mammography certificate or willing to obtain within 12 months of starting
