As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for performing simulations, designing and optimising high-quality treatment plans, and ensuring accurate delivery of Radiation Therapy based on the Radiation Oncologist’s prescription.

You will provide patient-centred care, educate patients throughout their treatment journey, and maintain detailed and accurate records. Additionally, you will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, and uphold the highest standards of radiation safety for patients, staff, and visitors.

The successful candidate will be dynamic, innovative, and enthusiastic, with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You will be committed to continuous learning and professional development, thriving in a supportive and collaborative environment. With strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, you will be proficient at mentoring and guiding colleagues while contributing to the advancement of the department. You will take a proactive approach to problem-solving and have a dedication to ensuring the best outcomes for patients.

Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
