Provide high-level support, strategic advice and operational leadership to the media and communications function of the lllawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD).
The Public Affairs Advisor will oversee the development and delivery of key strategic and reactive communications.
This will include management of the coordination and preparation of District-wide communications materials on a range of platforms, including digital channels, which support key objectives and initiatives of the LHD and NSW Health.
The Public Affairs Advisor will lead the development and implementation of key strategies that align with the priorities of the LHD and key health objectives of the NSW Government. This role will support the Head of Media, Corporate Communications & Public Affairs in the operational running of the media component of the Unit including the identification and management of contentious issues, pro-active and reactive media management, identified stakeholder liaison and digital content development. The role will work in close consultation with the Manager Media and Communications to ensure both strategic and operational priority alignment.
The Public Affairs Advisor will also be required to take a high-level advisory role to the leadership team to support decision-making in the management of media and contentious issues.

This is a temporarily funded position until 28 March 2027 with the possibility of an extension subject to funding.
