About the Opportunity
Join our passionate Youth Health Counselling team committed to delivering high-quality care within the South Western Sydney Local Health District. We’re looking for a dedicated Psychologist to support people experiencing a broad range of emotional and behavioural challenges.
Your Impact:
- Deliver evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions
- Support clients with a range of emotional and behavioural disorders
- Contribute to service quality through clinical outcome evaluations
- Assist in the development and delivery of education and training programs
- Provide clinical supervision to Psychologists and other team members as needed

What You'll be Doing
To deliver evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions in order to address the needs of consumers who are living with a wide range of behavioural and emotional disorders.
The role also participates in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services and assists in the development and provision of education and training programs. Additionally, the role supervises Psychologists and other disciplines working within the LHD according to organisational needs.

- Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Completion of a four-year sequence of accredited undergraduate study in the discipline of psychology (or equivalent completed overseas).
- Demonstrated effective experience in assessment, intervention and evaluation of clinical outcomes with diverse patient and/or consumer populations.
- Demonstrated experience working independently in the provision of patient/consumer-focused care.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the quality improvement process for service development, implementation and evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes.
- Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit the target audience.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
