The Department of Psychological Medicine at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick is recruiting to 2 temporary part time positions.

  • 0.5FTE/ 19hpw from 21.4.25 until 31.3.26
  • 0.5 FTE/ 19hpw from 6.5.25 until 31.1.26

We would prefer one person to take both roles to work at 1.0 FTE over the common dates but can be offered as 2 part time roles and offered as 2 individual contracts as per dates.

 

What you will be doing:

The Level 3 Physiotherapist will provide clinical services to inpatients and outpatients referred to Physiotherapy in the Psychological Medicine and Eating Disorders services.  The Physiotherapist will provide evidence based care within a multidisciplinary and family centred context.  Participation and leadership is expected in ongoing education, teaching, evidence based practice, quality improvement and translational research activities. The physiotherapist will also contribute at an advanced level to: 
• Planning, development and evaluation of physiotherapy services. 
• Development, implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures and practice guidelines for    

   patient care and
• Liaison with community based services relevant to the patient population.

Position Classification: Physiotherapist Lvl 3
Remuneration: 112396 - 116038 full time equivalent base salary range (excludes super, leave loading and salary packaging)

  1. Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration.
  2. Significant postgraduate experience and knowledge in the relevant caseload.
  3. Demonstrated advanced level of clinical skills in the relevant caseload.
  4. Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, (including negotiation and conflict resolution skills in (insert caseload specifics) and proven success in multidisciplinary team settings.
  5. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills with an ability to work flexibly within clinical and administrative service demands.
  6. Experience in supervision of physiotherapy staff and students
  7. Demonstrated leadership skills in service delivery improvement activities and/or research.
