Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) is a principal tertiary referral hospital within Northern Sydney Local Health District, delivering a comprehensive range of complex and highly specialised healthcare services to patients across Northern Sydney and New South Wales.

What you'll be doing
This role provides hands-on experience in both elective and urgent transplantation procedures, as well as involvement in transplant-related administrative and educational activities. This is a full-time position, shared between vascular surgery and transplant surgery responsibilities.

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Completed FRACS or near completion (Vascular, General or Urology)
- Demonstrated interest in transplantation surgery, with prior exposure to renal transplant procedures desirable
- Ability to participate in on-call rosters, including weekends and after-hours emergencies
- Strong organisational and communication skills, particularly in coordinating multidisciplinary meetings
- Commitment to patient-centered care, teamwork, and professional development
- Willingness to participate in research and audit activities is desirable
Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases
To be employed by NSW Health, applicants must provide evidence of vaccination and comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy Directive (PD2024_015). Compliance with this policy, including any amendments made from time to time, is a mandatory condition of employment.
Applicants will be required to provide acceptable evidence of their vaccination status, immunity, and any other occupational health requirements relevant to the position. Evidence must be submitted and assessed in accordance with NSW Health requirements prior to commencement.
Working with Children Check
This position requires a Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance issued by Service NSW. A current and valid WWCC is a mandatory requirement for appointment to this role.
