St Vincent's hospital is looking to recruit a Provisional Fellows in Interventional Cardiology to assist with Cardiac Catheterisation procedures in the unit. Responsibilities of this position are to assist the procedural Cardiologist with percutaneous coronary and structural heart disease interventions. The Provisional Fellow is responsible for pre-procedure assessment and post-procedural medical care of patients undergoing these procedures. The preferred candidate for the Fellowship will have completed Cardiology Advanced Training and have extensive experience in diagnostic cardiac catheterisation. Primary operator experience in coronary interventions, and some experience in structural heart disease interventions is preferred.

What you'll be doing

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Successful completion of Part 1 FRACP Examinations. The preferred candidate for the Fellowship will have completed Cardiology Advanced Training, but suitable candidates seeking an elective training year will also be considered.
- Demonstrated commitment to Cardiology Advanced Training program.
- At least 4 years full time postgraduate experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
- Demonstrated teamwork, time management and problem solving skills as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and computer skills.
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the philosophies, mission and values of the Mary Aikenhead Ministries.
