- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- FRACS (Neurosurgery) or completion of SET training in neurosurgery or assessed as substantially or partially equivalent
- Commitment and ability to perform as a Provisional Fellow in Neurosurgery within SWSLHD with participation in the on call Neurosurgery roster
- Demonstrated teamwork, time management and problem solving skills in the clinical setting
- Demonstrated clinical competence in managing surgical patients
- Demonstrated competence in performing most neurosurgical operations independently
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex hospital based clinical environment
- Evidence of continued professional development specific to Neurosurgery and commitment to selfeducation and teaching undergraduate and postgraduates. Evidence of Neurosurgery specific research projects completed or being undertaken
