Join the Oncology Clinical Trials & Research Unit and play a pivotal role in advancing innovative cancer care across the New England North West region. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-impact, grant-funded project focused on expanding and improving access to clinical trials through decentralised delivery models.
Based within a collaborative and purpose-driven team, you’ll help shape the future of oncology research while supporting better outcomes for patients and communities.
About the role:
As a Project Officer, you will lead and support the delivery of a 12-month Cancer Institute NSW Fellowship project focused on enhancing clinical trial accessibility across a diverse and geographically dispersed region.
You’ll be responsible for coordinating project activities from initiation through to completion - working closely with clinicians, researchers, and external partners to ensure successful delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement across multiple sites and services
- Develop and maintain high-quality project documentation and reporting
- Support ethics and governance submissions and compliance requirements
- Analyse data and contribute to evidence-based decision making
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
About you:
You are a proactive and organised professional with a passion for healthcare and research. You thrive in complex environments and can confidently manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

- Qualifications in health, science, research, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong project coordination and organisational skills
