An exciting opportunity is available to join the Finance and Corporate Services team at Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District as a Project Officer. You will work closely with Clinical and Corporate stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organisational priorities. As the Project Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient, transparent, and effective use of resources that enable high-quality patient care.
In this role you will be working closely with stakeholders to document and review current processes and supporting systems to identify opportunities for improvement and integration. Conducting evidence-based data analysis to support FCS projects, build and maintain strong working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders across the organisation, ensuring effective stakeholder identification and engagement occurs in all projects.
This position will have you develop accurate and timely reports to Stakeholders, The Ministry of Health, NBMLHD Board, Members of the NBMLHD Executive and steering committees.

What you will bring to the role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in all aspects of project management, leading implementation of projects and/or initiatives and change management
- Ability to effectively engage and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, internally and externally, across varying disciplines and levels, to achieve project goals.
- Demonstrated problem solving, conceptual thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including a proven ability to prepare project and meeting documentation, including briefs, project plans, presentations, agendas, meeting minutes etc.
- Demonstrated understanding, or the ability to gain an understanding, of the policy and legislative environment and the ability to effectively operate and deliver in such an environment.
- High level skills in conceptual and systems thinking on the successful application of innovative approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
