About the role

To lead revenue compliance across NSW Health, ensuring the integrity of revenue-raising practices, adherence to Commonwealth and State legislation, and conformance with Ministry policy across Local Health Districts, pillars, and affiliated health organisations. This role suits an energetic leader with strong assurance, policy, and project delivery skills.

What you will be doing
In this role, you will take the lead in shaping and strengthening how fees and revenue are managed across NSW Health. You will work at a system-wide level to ensure consistency, compliance, and strong financial outcomes, while providing trusted advice to senior stakeholders. You will also drive improvements in policy and processes to support better revenue performance across the health system.
- Lead and manage NSW Health’s fees and revenue compliance function, ensuring consistency with legislation and strengthening revenue integrity across the system.
- Provide expert, practical advice to senior stakeholders, including the Ministry, Local Health Districts and other government agencies, on complex revenue and charging matters.
- Drive policy development, review, and implementation to improve consistency, standardisation, and best practice in revenue processes across health entities.
- Build strong partnerships that enhance revenue performance, modernise policy, and deliver sustainable improvements across NSW Health.
- Lead analysis, assurance and improvement initiatives that identify opportunities to enhance revenue integrity, performance and system-wide practices.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
Demonstrated experience leading complex revenue, compliance, assurance or financial policy functions in a large organisation.
Strong understanding of legislative, regulatory and policy frameworks, with the ability to interpret and apply complex requirements.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and build productive partnerships across diverse organisations and government agencies.
Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data and insights to improve financial and operational outcomes.
