About this role

In this role, you’ll be leading and coordinating the NSW Ministry of Health’s centralised administration and governance functions for grants distributed by NSW Health to meet strategic objectives of the organisation and NSW Government. This includes designing, developing and implementing policies, procedures, systems, governance and risk minimisation strategies to ensure the transparent and robust administration of grants funding that meets the requirements of NSW Government’s Grants Administration Guide.
Crown Clerk 11/12, starting salary from $149,739 - $173,174 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing
- Leading the development and implementation of a grants management framework for NSW Health that ensures compliance with the NSW Grants Administration Guide across the grants lifecycle, to optimise grant and funding outcomes
- Developing, managing and maintaining effective business policy, processes and systems to ensure good governance, risk management, financial management and reporting of grants administered by NSW Health
- Providing sound information and advice on current and emerging grants administration policy issues to Senior Executives and key staff within the Ministry of Health, public health organisations and related government agencies.
- Ensure effective stakeholder engagement, including with other government agencies and grant recipients as required, to support grants administration
- Managing projects and programs including preparing project plans and briefs, determining priorities, managing resources, key milestone reporting, stakeholder consultation, project evaluation ensuring delivery within scope, budget and timeframes.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Experience in the development, administration, management and operation of grant schemes or related programs involving budget and performance management.
- Understanding of the environmental, resource efficiency and heritage issues addressed through grant programs.
- Experience in delivering program outcomes including managing high volumes of information whilst meeting predetermined deadlines and defined standards with a high level of governance, accuracy and accountability.
- The ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- A growth mindset, and commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
