    About this role
    With your skills and experience, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of whole-of-health financial reporting across NSW. Working at a senior level, you will oversee complex financial data submissions to NSW Treasury, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and accounting standards. This role offers the opportunity to provide strategic advice, analyse trends, and influence financial outcomes at a system-wide level. You will lead and support a small team while delivering high-quality outcomes within strict timeframes. This is a fast-paced and rewarding opportunity for an experienced finance professional seeking impact and leadership.

    Crown Clerk 11/12, starting salary from $149,739 - $173,174 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

    What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate monthly financial reporting submissions to NSW Treasury, including budget, actuals, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Review, analyse, and validate consolidated financial data, identifying issues and driving improvements in data quality.

  • Lead forward estimates and budget reporting processes, including documentation of assumptions and financial drivers.

  • Monitor financial performance, identify risks and variances, and provide timely, strategic advice to senior stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with NSW Treasury requirements, legislation, and financial reporting standards.


About you 
 

  • We are seeking motivated and committed professionals who can contribute to the work of NSW Health and bring:

  • A professional accounting qualification and membership with a recognised Australian accounting body, alongside broad experience across financial, management, and cost accounting disciplines

  • Demonstrated senior-level experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting within large or complex organisations

  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret complex financial information and translate it into clear, actionable insights

  • Proven ability to build and sustain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders and influence outcomes

  • Highly developed organisational skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.
